Week 11

Wow, this is actually going by kind of fast.. I'll be happy when my exam is completely done and i can bask in my pregnant-ness. I went and bought some new clothes with Christmas gift cards the other day. The only thing labeled maternity is one pair of jeans.. (I'm such a nerd, i almost put "genes")

I ended up buying things like long sweaters, some awesome yoga pants, and some sweatshirts.. all very comfy and will fit til it's warm.

I'll post more now.. I'm almost late for bday cake for the boss!!

Speck has toothbuds this week and can grasp things and starting to try to suck thumb.. Yay!!

The Home Stretch

Of my comprehensive exam of course!!
Tomorrow is editing day.. and then it will be emailed to my committee tomorrow night.. Today I have one aim to finish..and then.. dada! Finale. I'm so sick of writing on this stupid thing.. but then I also get really excited to write on it.. Stupid science.

We're in week 10 today. I think i can see a bump. I'm down to my one pair of size 11s and on days where i don't feel bloated i can wear my 9s with the pony tail holder trick.. some of my shirts are starting to get tight across the top section.. yay for motherhood.

I feel great, can eat just about anything, not even queasy.. Maybe that means this is a boy since it's different than it was with Moo.. I'm just very tired. I have been taking about a two hour nap every day from 4-6 or so.. but of course, I've been up writing til one or two every night.. Bleh. I can't write when Mollee is awake. I'd give anything if my boss could read over this for me, but apparently that is one of the rules..BOo. I need a scientist!!

Well, that's it for now. I'll post pics later when i am of sound mind.

Week 9!! In the 3rd month!

Speck has bones this week too and has graduated

to fetus-hood!
Week 9 started on Wednesday the 15th! I feel a little less bloated this week which is great.. some of my clothes fit a little better than they were.. this is such a bad stage.. too fat to wear my regular jeans, not fat enough to wear maternity clothes.. just fat looking, not pregnant looking.. so sad.


Yesterday I ate a blueberry bagel with blueberry cream cheese and 20 dill pickles. Could be pregnancy or it could be that we have no snacks in our house.



I got an extra 4 pages on my proposal yesterday, only 21 more to go!! I suck at this stuff.. I'm such a procrastinator..



I'll add pics of me later.. here's what Speck/Blob looks like this week-

He/she has started moving, can grip things (like ears, nose, etc). I swear late at night when i sit down and relax, i can feel speck move. I know, you think i'm crazy, but i remember what it felt like with Mollee and i felt her the first time at 14 weeks.. I think Speck is flopping.. I don't feel like arms and legs move, like flipping over.

What a Beautiful Blob!!

8 week old embryo

This is the last week as an embryo!!

Speck is now a blob! Look how cute he/she is!! They said we were 8 wk 5 days according to measurements and set our due date at July 17, 2010.. We may have two kiddos with the same birthday!!

If you look closely, you can see a little leg and an arm. This is the side of Speck, he/she is laying on the back. We will have our next ultrasound at about 13 wks. Yay!!

7 Weeks!!

7 weeks 3 days.. i feel fat..

I feel a little better, the bloating has let down a little. Today I am wearing maternity jeans because my size 8s no longer fit :( I can squeeze into some bigger jeans pretty comfortably but i only have one pair of those.. these are actually pretty comfortable. Haven't been sick yet, but am having a lot of food adversions.. I've lost 3lbs in two days....Not bad.. wish i could do that when i'm not pregnant! I am getting over a cold, that didn't help things any..
